Residents,
It's great to see you all back home at The Pakubuwono Residence. Wherever
your journeys have taken you during these past couple of weeks, I
hope you all had a fantastic time with your families and friends and
very much enjoyed the places you visited. And to our friends who opted
to stay in town, I am sure that you took pleasure in being able to
breeze through the quiet city streets. Inside this month, I would
like to reintroduce the men and women behind the scenes, who ensure
that your every need is being looked after. Whether they are securing
the entry gates, manning the lobby doors, behind the reception desks,
maintaining the various equipment that make the building operations
run ever so smoothly or either planting, weeding and watering our
beautiful landscaped gardens or cleaning the lobbies or the pool,
washing windows and floors, all these staff members make up one remarkable
team and we are grateful for their dedication and hard work.
Meet Pak Sudono who keeps our surroundings safe and secure. Ms. Tyas, one of the smiling faces behind the TRO desk. Pak Sunaryo whose passion is to keep our gardens green and blooming; the energetic Ms. Lisa who takes charge in keeping us fit and healthy and our efficient engineer, Pak Agung keeping the building's machineries running well and many more. Each and every team member is crucial and important in providing our residents an efficiently run and capable building management and for this month, we would like to specially mention one team member who stands out admirably and nominated to be our Employee of the Month, our storekeeper. Pak Priyadi , a very dependable and hard working person .We're proud to have you with us. Thank you for bringing a lot of spirit to our team!
The month of November also brings us closer to year end activities and most of you may soon be planning company parties or gatherings. Spathoglottis plicata or Ground orchid, native of Southeastern Asia
to the Philippines, is the common species of Orchid which blooms round
the year. This easily grown orchid has pretty, arching broad leaves
with prominent parallel veins and a few or large cluster of small
flowers at the end of a long stalk as tall as 1 meter arising from
a basal leaf axil. The flowers are seen from the more common purple
to white, yellow, peach, pink and magenta shades. and The leaves emerge
from round pseudo bulbs that become increasingly multiple and larger
as the orchid matures. Ground orchids can be grown as potted plants
and also do well in beds and borders.
This species' native blooms throughout the year. Over the last century,
Spathoglottis plicata has become naturalized in tropical and semitropical
areas of the U.S., such as in Hawaii and Florida, where it grows in
the wild and is used for landscaping. S. plicata was among the first
plants to recolonize the land around Mt. Krakatoa after this mighty
volcano exploded in 1883 and decimated the Indonesian island of Krakatau.
A small ground orchid, almost stemless, with arched, pleated leaves.
The flowers are medium sized (for an orchid), pink, with a red spot
on the labellum, coming from the top of an erec inflorescence.

protectors, wherever you can. They really do provide superior protection
for your electronic equipment, and you can find them at most local
hardware or electronic stores. These devices should have the UL symbol,
the word listed, and the description transient voltage surge suppressor
on them. A product that has been tested under UL Standard 1449 assures
that the product meets the safety and surge performance requirements
recognized by the electrical industry. Note that plug-in type TVSS
protectors do not work properly when they are connected to a two-prong
