Dear
Residents, I take this time too to wish you all goodbye as I finish my tenure here at The Pakubuwono Residence. It has been a great honor to have been entrusted with setting up and laying the solid foundation for property management services that has earned The Pakubuwono Residence its No. 1 reputation as the residence of choice in luxury living in the city. I am deeply grateful to all of you and the dedicated men and women I worked with who have helped along the way to bring The Pakubuwono Residence to the prominence it has achieved. We are almost 100% occupied, unheard of in a new and sizeable development of 5 exclusive towers which only opened its doors 2 years ago. I remember welcoming our first residents then in January 2006 and the frenzied days when we moved in a steady stream of owners and tenants excitedly furnishing and decorating their new home to begin enjoying life here. I will always remember the wonderful times and the fulfilling moments of interacting with you all thank you kindly for your support, your trust and your friendship. These I will treasure. This month's Inside brings you the Golden Torch Heliconia which can be found in our gardens. It is oftentimes mistaken as the bird-of-paradise because of its close similarity. The gold hue of the flower and dark green leaves are great for a classical tropical look. May these blooms bring you a bit of brightness and glow during the rainy season. On some housekeeping notes, may we remind you to please stress to your household staff to place rubbish and waste in a plastic bag, fastening it securely and placing this inside the bin (and not leaving the bag on the floor) in the garbage room at each level. On safety matters, please remind your drivers to turn off the vehicle's engine when the vehicle is parked in the garage. This simple practice contributes greatly in maintaining and improving our air quality and helps prevent adverse health effects on the respiratory and circulation system that may cause heart and cancer problems. Be concerned and prevent pollution to our environment. Although
this will be my final message, I bid you fare well for now with the
hope that we meet again someday. In parting, I would like to leave
you with these thoughts from a famous Irish blessing…. For after all, these are what we wish you to have at The Pakubuwono Residence. Enjoy! With my best personal wishes, Detlef

HEALTHY HABITS Eat Breakfast Every Morning Breakfast eaters are champions of good health. Research shows people who have a morning meal tend to take in more vitamins and minerals, and less fat and cholesterol. The result is often a leaner body, lower cholesterol count, and less chance of overeating. "That
one act [of eating breakfast] seems to make a difference in people's
overall weight, "says Melinda Johnson, RD, a spokeswoman for
the American Dietetic Association (ADA). She says breakfast can hold
off hunger pangs until lunchtime and make high-calorie vending machine
options less enticing. To
get the full benefits of breakfast, the Mayo Clinic recommends a meal
with carbohydrates, protein, and a small amount of fat. They say that
because no single food gives you all of the nutrients you need, eating
a variety of foods is essential to good health. Yet, even with so
much scientific support that breakfast does the body good; many people
still make excuses not to eat in the morning. They include not having
enough time and not feeling hungry. For these people, Johnson suggests
tailoring breakfast to the day. Description:
This has the classic look - a gold upright spike above dark green
leaves. Great for the tropical look, and it brings almost instant
colour and height to the gardens.
