GM'S MESSAGE INSIDE MARCH 2007

Dear Residents,

The floods at the beginning of this year and the havoc it wrought throughout the Jabodetabek area reminds us of the challenge the faces us in this generation. Global warming has become the talk of the day and an important issue that must be tackled by all fronts. How can we help? How can we contribute? In small personal ways, we can do our bit in taking care of the environment that we live in. Conserve energy, turn off and unplug electronic devices when you don't use them and use less hot water, recycle more, avoid products with a lot of packaging and cut down your rubbish - these are just among many small steps we can take to reduce the carbon dioxide that goes to the atmosphere and help stop global warming. Let's do our part, for our children and their children's generation that, they too may enjoy the world that we are now enjoying!

Thank you to all our residents who have donated to our flood relief program. The response has been overwhelming and I am sure that the recipients of your generosity are very appreciative of the kindness you have extended to them. Again, a big THANK YOU for opening your hearts!

Also do remember to stay healthy during the coming days as there's still a lot of cleaning up that must be done after the flood recedes in the city. Health authorities have warned us of possible outbreaks in mosquito borne diseases. Here at The Pakubuwono Residence, we continue our regular pest programs and fumigation to rid the complex of mosquitoes and other pests. Our maintenance team works very hard to keep our surroundings clean and tidy to ensure that you continue to enjoy a healthy, safe and comfortable environment at The Pakubuwono Residence.

On this note, we would like to ask your assistance to please remind your drivers not to smoke or litter in the parking areas. We found some drivers who have left food scraps and cigarette butts on the floor. Please instruct them of our No Smoking and No Littering regulations in the parking areas. Please also ask your drivers not to loiter and instead wait at the driver's lounge for your call when they are needed. Your cooperation is much appreciated.

On the lighter side, come and join our Friday evening Waltz classes something fun to do while getting fit! Socialize with your neighbors and learn the graceful art of dancing. Our instructor Mr. Hendrik is well known in professional dance circles in the city and guarantees a great evening! Check out the new schedule at the Gym or on the What's On bulletin at the lobby. Register now and dance the night away!

“A thing of beauty is a joy for ever”. How true this is 'inside' The Pakubuwuno Residence. In forthcoming months, Inside will feature the beautiful flowers and plants that adorn the lush gardens of your Home. This month, along our jogging track, look out for the lovely Spider Lily or better known locally as “Kembang Bakung”. Pause a while from the day's busyness, savor its elegant fragrance and let its beauty delight you. And thus, allow me in closing to quote the words from a famous poet who once wrote:

Walk and touch peace every moment.
Walk and touch happiness every moment.
Each step brings a fresh breeze.
Each step makes a flower bloom……

Enjoy life at The Pakubuwono Residence!

Sincerely yours,

Detlef Skrobanek
General Manager
