The month of February brings yet another occasion to celebrate as the Chinese Year 4706 begins on February 7th this year. Whilst symbolizing a spring festival, Chinese New Year remains very much a gathering of family members, paying respect to the elders, sharing a feast with friends and relatives, and many more. The traditions and customs observed during this time such as the wearing of red or decorating with red is a joyous way of ensuring 'good luck' throughout the year. It is the Year of the Rat and the rat's stone is the deep red garnet, the color of joyful celebration, signifying loyalty and passion. To our friends celebrating Chinese New Year, we wish you good fortune, prosperity, more success and most of all, loyal friends to keep and be near you all year round. Gong Xi Fa Cai !

English name : Chinese Hibiscus- Rose /also known as Shoe Flower
Latin Name : Hibiscus Rosa - Sinensis
Indonesian Name : Bunga Sepatu

The Chinese hibiscus (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, family Malvaceae) is an evergreen shrub native to East Asia. It is also known as China rose and shoe flower. It is widely grown as an ornamental plant throughout the tropics and subtropics. The flowers are large, red, firm, but lack any scent. Numerous cultivars, varieties, and hybrids have been created, with flower colors ranging from white through yellow and orange to scarlet and shades of pink, with both single and double sets of petals.
